Brain doesn’t reply to my Slack message
Section titled “Brain doesn’t reply to my Slack message”Check, in order:
- Did you mention it? Brain only reads DMs by default. Mentioning
@NitroxBrainin a channel works too. - Did you see a reaction emoji? No reaction = the message didn’t reach the bot. Usually a Slack workspace install issue — ping your workspace admin.
- Was there an error in the reply? “Something went wrong on my end” means a turn errored; tell Brain “what happened on the last message?” — it has access to its own error log.
”OAuth not configured” error
Section titled “”OAuth not configured” error”Brain is asking for an integration you haven’t connected yet. Type:
Connect [service name]
and follow the consent flow. See Connect your accounts.
”Credit balance is too low” error
Section titled “”Credit balance is too low” error”Rare. Means our Anthropic API key on your container has run out of credits. Email hello@nitroxconsulting.com — we top it up usually within an hour.
Brain forgets things between sessions
Section titled “Brain forgets things between sessions”It shouldn’t. If your memory is genuinely empty after a previous conversation:
- Try again in 60 seconds — Brain may have been mid-sync.
- Ask: “what do you remember about me?”
- If still empty, email hello@nitroxconsulting.com with the approximate date of the lost context. We can sometimes recover from snapshots.
I want to delete one message Brain sent
Section titled “I want to delete one message Brain sent”React with 🗑 on Brain’s reply in Slack. Brain forgets the turn (your message + its reply) and deletes the message from Slack too (Brain can only delete its own messages).
I want to delete a whole conversation
Section titled “I want to delete a whole conversation”DM Brain:
Forget today’s conversation.
Or for finer control, just say what to forget:
Forget what I said about the Acme deal.

Brain replies in the wrong language
Section titled “Brain replies in the wrong language”Brain detects language per message. If it gets it wrong (rare), tell it:
Reply in French from now on.
It sticks across messages.
Cancel and data export
Section titled “Cancel and data export”To leave NitroxBrain entirely:
- Cancel your subscription from the Stripe customer portal (Stripe sends a portal link with each invoice).
- Email security@nitroxconsulting.com with subject “Export and delete my data”.
- We ship a tar.gz of your vault within 30 days (usually 1–3 business days).
- After you confirm, we delete your container, your vault, your OAuth tokens, and your routing rows. Confirmation email when done.
